Unleash your imagination in this writing class focusing on science fiction and fantasy short stories and short screenplays. Students practice generating unique story ideas and building futuristic or magical worlds while learning writing fundamentals, such as creating compelling characters and developing effective dialogue. Students participate in group and individual writing exercises and games, learn how to contribute to peer review sessions, and look at classic science fiction and fantasy examples from literature, film, and TV to help them craft a final, polished short story or script.
