Instrumental Music: Jazz Camp ALL DAY (Ages 11-15)

In this course, students learn skills to enhance their skills in the Jazz idiom. Utilizing classic Jazz repertoire, students will develop an understanding of Jazz language and history.  Students will also refine their musicianship skills through music listening, ear training, singing, and rhythmic clapping, in addition to enhancing their ensemble and improvisational skills. Families and friends are invited to a culminating recital to celebrate the student’s work and learning. 

Prerequisite: This class is open to musicians of all levels. Students will need to bring their own instrument and possess basic fundamental abilities (produce consistent tone and major scales).
