This course is designed to introduce the basic concepts of Ballet Folklórico at a beginning level. Students will focus on learning how to execute basic footwork combinations, nuances and styles of the various regions of Mexico. Students will gain an introduction to Folklórico terminology and history. By working on repertoire students will develop artistry with historical and cultural values. There will be a presentation at the end of the course for students to demonstrate their new dances choreographic sequences.
